Explaining your own sadness to people is like trying to teach a cat how to bark. It’s damn near impossible. The only time sadness makes sense is when you’re alone: saturday night in an empty theatre, driving in the car listening to the rain pound the window, or at a desolate restaurant—table for one, please. At times it can be unbearable. We are human after all. But in time you might recognize yourself as the only person you can depend on. To be your own ears, your own voice, and there is never anything wrong with being strong for yourself.

Graduation is exactly 12 days away

It still hasn’t hit me yet that I’m graduating in less than two weeks. Senior year had been the most hectic, stressful, and tiring year. This year was so busy that I didn’t really get a chance to stop and enjoy being a senior in high school. Since September, nothing ever slowed down. It was like my schedule for the entire year was planned out and everything piled on together. Despite all the hard work, I still think it was an overall good year. Although I was expecting senior year to be “a breeze”, turned out it was a hurricane. But i survived through all the college rejections, AP Calculus, senior projects, and many more.  Socially, this year was a rough one as well. Both with my family and friends. I guess when you grow up, you just tend to encounter a lot of issues with different people. You just start to realize who is important and who is worth it. As I finish this chapter of my life, I can honestly say my high school career couldn’t have been better. Thinking back, I still remember being that freshmen girl who was clueless about everything that was ahead of her. These past four years were a blessing, and I’m so grateful for everything that had happened, both good and bad. Senior year was definitely a reality check. The term ‘college’ used to feel so distant, now, it’s really happening, in 3 months. I already know that I am going to cry like a baby at graduation, considering the fact that I am the most emotional person on this planet. I’ve met so many good people during high school, and I will never forget them. New friendships were made, and some fell apart, but I believe that everything happens for a reason.

I am so thankful for all my close friends that had been with me for these last 4 years. I can’t imagine going to a whole new school without seeing any familiar faces. Afterall, I have been with these girls for almost 12  years. They truly mean the world to me, because without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. We have influenced each other in some way or another, and I am so glad that I got to know them and grew so close to them. The future awaits, and I know there are great things waiting for us out there. I know we will all go far with our lives, no matter where we are, I will always be thinking of you three.

Has made education a national priority by putting emphasis and money behind new ideas like charter schools, but speaking directly to school children in telling them they have to do their part. 7. On top of all of this, Barack Obama has just become the first president to endorse gay marriage.  

Yup, here we have just described a man who has clearly done nothing but sit around the oval office and twiddle his thumbs the last four years. Obviously, voting for someone who is for universal equality and bettering not just this country, but the entire world, is the wrong way to go. -___-
